Battle of Monmouth

Published by ourmonmouth at 9:29 pm under Local Events

The Battle of Monmouth took place on June 28th, 1778. This weekend marked the 229th Anniversary Commemoration sponsored by the Friends of Monmouth Battlefield. The Commemoration is two full days of activities and events capped off with a fabulous reenactment of the battle. The event was expertly moderated keeping the audience engaged. It really was a perfect day to be in beautiful Monmouth Battlefield State Park. If you missed it this year I suggest you mark it on the calendar for next year. Bring the kids, they will love it.

This is a great event about the rich history of our community and country.
